I’ve read many times that for beginners light gauge strings are better, but I’ve also read that some gauge guitar strings may not be “compatible” with certain guitars. I don’t want to buy guitar strings that aren’t going to work on my guitar. Can someone please help clarify this for me? I don’t know where else to turn.

I want to buy a guitar that i can use even after i past the begginner level what brand of guitar is the best. I know nothing about guitars so what else in the package should I be looking for.

Now I have electric 6-string guitar, and i am in doubt what is better acoustic guitar or bass guitar.

Should I buy the guitar kit with DvD’s included and strap and such. oR BUY A BETTER GUITAR AND ALL THE OTHER items seperately? This will be a birthday present for my 14 yr old son who has started last year on an electric but lost interest, says he would rather try an acoustic. I would say 500. would be the higher end of what I would spend. Your experienced input much appreciated.

i bought an acoustic guitar and one of the strings broke off the string that broke off was located where string letter is D would be. If it helps the brand of the guitar is protocol. How do i know what strings to buy my guitar to replace the broken one? Please help im new to this!
